The grill comes in a box with literally zero pieces put together, so assembly took an entire afternoon and no small amount of trial and error. But now that it's assembled we love it. It heats quickly and evenly, with good controls on the burners.

This gas grill is very nice for the price. Assembly was quite easy and I thought the manual was very easy to read. The Grill also looks good when assembled.
I have cooked a variety of things on it and this grill is very adjustable (temperature)from one side to the other, for instance ,
chicken breast on one side and steak on the other.
I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I have had this model for going on four years now and I love it! Some people have unfairly complained about the quality of this grill. It is not a heavy duty broiler and any attempt to use it as such is stupidly dangerous! The grill is intended to be light weight with some portability but more ease of using it in your yard. There are two things you must do with the grill every year:

1 Strip as much of the guts out of the grill as you can. Degrease the entire grill inside and out with a good degrease like Super Clean, sturdy brushes and pressure from a garden hose.

2 After the grill dries touch it up with some high temp enamel grill paint available at the local hardware or big box retailer. While you are at it buy some stainless steel wipes and use them with a little elbow grease to clean the stainless. Now use a screw driver, pliers and perhaps a little WD-40 to tighten up all of the fasteners on the grill.

Prior to assembling any new grill remove all of the parts from the box, lay them out on a floor where you won't loose any parts and inspect them all thoroughly. Call in any loose, missing or damaged parts to Charbroil immediately! They will help you replace the parts or grill. Also buy from reputable dealers only like Amazon. If you don't think you can assemble the grill then don't! There is a good chance that there is a shop in your are that specializes in heating stoves and grills. Most of them will assemble it for you for a fee.

Really folks this grill is so easy to put together as long as you follow the instructions. Yeah it might take you a few hours but with a little TLC this grill will last you for years. You can't go wrong with it.

I've owned this grill for 2 years. Great the first year. Now that it's going into the 3rd year, it's falling appart. Side burner no longer works, electric spark starter no longer functional. Going to have to buy a new one! Next time, I'll pay a little more and hope to get what I pay for!

Mine lasted two cooking seasons. I kept it outside, covered and clean, when not in use. Although I started seeing some rust last year, this year it was rather shocking when I got the grill out for the season, took the cover off and took a look at the condition under the lid. The grates, flavorizers, and pretty much everything within the heat box was rusted to the point that it would flake off easily with a little pressure from your fingers. The bottom of the heat box looks to be rusting as well. It seemed like a good deal at the time but they certainly do not build these things to last. It's not a small grill and I now find myself in the position of trying to find a way to dispose of it. The condition is so bad that I would feel guilty about putting it out to the curb with a "free" sign on it.

I will also point out that when operational, the heat control/distribution was awful. The back left area was the hot spot. If I wanted cooked items to finish at the same time I had to rotate them into and out of that position every few minutes. The high heat was only useful for preheating as well. Rather than sear, it tended to quickly make dehydrated hockey pucks. Once the grill was hot, I learned the hard way that it was necessary to turn the heat to low before putting the meat on. Another reason for cooking on low was that was that it decreased the frequency of flare ups. I had used a Sunbeam grill for about 12 years prior to purchasing this grill and I regret ever getting rid of it. These were non-issues prior to purchasing this Char Broil unit.

At about the 2 year mark of ownership, this piece of junk started rusting out from the inside. It sits on a concrete patio, and is covered when not in use. The outside looks great! But first the drip pan, then the side panels, then all the burners. It's basically a pile of rust once you lift the cover. And the customer service is the worst...I don't know how those people have jobs. Bottom line...I'm buying a Weber, and not looking back.

We purchased a previous version of this grill and it almost burned our house down more than once. It would regularly red-line the temperature gauge when cooking anything other than burgers or dogs. You simply could not get the temperature below 300 degrees with the lid closed. The drippings would pile up from ribs and chicken and eventually catch on fire. I had to replace the main delivery tube, which was $100. We shopped around and anything comparable was more than twice the price so we went with this one, and voila! Same #$&@! different day. We have only cooked brats, dogs, and burgers and it is already flaming up and over heating. If I had to do it again, I would pay the extra money for the Weber, et. Al.

Had this grill less than a month and due to design issues it almost burnt up. As it was the grill overheated so badly the knobs were melting! Discovered the hose running to the side burner ran through exposed metal and the hose broke. I am very lucky that it did not blow up! Would not recommend this grill at any price. Design is so poor it should be pulled from the market.

I know maybe to some people the price of these are not bad.
But to me it was and I was pretty proud to bring it home. It did work good the first year by the second year the heat plates were burnt out and the grill was looking bad. It is now in its 4 year. I can only use the center burners. The back side is rusted out up high. You might expect the bottom to be but at the top part of the bottom. I will never ever buy this brand again. Don't know if the other are any better but I will not repeat this mistake.
Give it a 1 only because it was good 1 season.

I paid to have mine assembled where I bought it. Well worth it for an extra 15 bucks.
I have had not problems with it, with the exception of the uneven heating. I have
owned cheaper grills in the past and went to this higher priced in hopes of getting
a more even heated cooking surface. Its better than the less expensive models I had
owned but not up to the price tag.
