Product Description

This Char-Broil Electric Patio Caddie is the little brother to one of the best selling grills with an award winning design from Char-Broil. Perfect for apartments, terraces, etc., this Caddie is a scaled back version of the blue caddie that has been in the market for years but still provides many of the same cooking features with a little lower price. This particular Patio Caddie has a black finish, thermsulate liner to maintain grilling temperatures, and a 1650 watt heating element. The cooking surface is 187 square inches and is covered by a porcelain cooking grate. The cooking chamber itself has a simple temperature gauge and the heat is controlled by the 5' grounded electric cord with a temperature control dial.

We purchased a
Char-Broil Patio Grill and the first time it was used the food stuck to the porclean grill and the grill melted and stuck to the food and almost one half of the grill was served to our guest to our horrow. After two calls to Char Broil they agreed to discount the freight to send us another porclean grate to replace the original grate. The grate should not be used by anyone!!!!!

We live in a condo and are only allowed to use electric grills. This was the only model available at our local home depot. The first one we bought we loved. Cooked well and lasted about 3 years before the heating element failed to heat completely. The next one also worked well but lasted only 2 years. This last one we bought is not even 1 year old and will not heat all the way. It doesn't get hot enough to sear your food and it takes forever to cook. We contacted Char-Broil and they informed us that the 90 day warranty had expired and there was nothing they could do for us. We will not buy this unit again.

This is a terrible product. Save your money. I had to replace the first heating element after only 6 months of bi-weekly use to the tune of $ 38.94.Within 3 months another element broke. I then realized I couldn't afford this very faulty product. I complained to a Char-Broil service rep who was nice but a moron.
