This was a replacement fire pit and it's perfect for my small front patio.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, It was easy to put together and has very nice carrying bag.

It comes with a poker that can be used to lift the lid off as well, so adding more wood is easy.

Exceptionally lightweight and I think it has an interesting design for portability. Tool-less assembly took me less than five minutes to put together. Very nice that it comes with a carrying case. This is clearly a product that's meant to be used, enjoyed and then stored away. The legs attach very easily and feel very stout. The legs hold up a ring. The bowl rests on top of the ring. The log grate isn't "built in," instead it sits in the middle of the bowl - which is better. Makes it easier to remove and clean. I can't stress enough how important I think the log grate is. This isn't my first firebowl and having a log grate substantially improves the airflow. The bowl felt shallow, but was able to handle four 4-5" logs without trouble. Mine came with a bonus grill. A nice addition, but there is little clearance between the log grate and the grill, so I believe the grill is optional and probably won't see much use. The firebowl is approximately 6 inches deep.

While I'll be using my Char-Broil firebowl in our backyard, I can see where this would be a great item for camping, RV'ing or even tailgating. Good size for any backyard, but especially a smaller backyard. Takes up less space than an old fashioned bar-b-que grill and much easier to store!

The fun of a firebowl is the occassional backyard fire without a firepit or a scorched circle of grass. As with ANY wood burning firebowl, you cannot set this up on your wood deck. ALL firebowls emit too much heat through the bottom to rest on top of something like a wood deck. Trust me, I learned this from our first firebowl purchase.

Our first firebowl was a big, heavy, hunking mess. Bought at an "end of season" sale, I still paid more than I did for this Char-Broil Portable Firebowl.

A bit more wobbly than expected (the folding legs have some wiggle room when extended) but a little piece of foam, glued in the right place at each leg joint, should do the trick.

Also it will kill the grass wherever you use it, definitely not high enough off the ground, so get some pavers to place it on.

I've been looking to replace my ancient Coleman fire pit we use at a small cottage. It's wore out after 13 years of fires. I looked around and read reviews and finally settled on this CharBroil 26 inch fire bowl. It's lightweight ( a huge improvement over my old fire pit), easy to assemble and comes with folding legs and a carry bag. If youwant a 'bonfire' look elsewhere...but if you're looking for a 'campfire' size fire, this fits the bill nicely. You most likely wont be able to toss a unsplit log in there, you'll need split firewood or kindling or the like...it is smaller. The included screen top isnt much help till the fire burns way down and your done adding wood, but it's nice. the bottom grate helps getting air to the fire, Its perfect for a patio or an RV or a back yard...easy clean up and the carry bag is a very nice option. Overall 4 stars...very happy with it.

The Char-Broil Portable Fire Bowl (26") is a great product to have for those occations where someone says, "I wish we had a fire pit right now." I heard this many times last winter, but since we live in Texas, it's not something that is a necessary year-round request to say the least. So, since winter is approaching again, finding one for the right price and one that was easy to travel with, became the criteria for purchasing one this time around. From hanging out at the campsite, backyard patio, or tailgate, this portable fire pit is a convenient travel companion. It comes with a heavy duty travel case with all components fitting perfectly inside for easy travel. It comes with a grate to keep wood off the very bottom of the pit (necessary for airflow and easy lighting), a grill grate if you want to throw some hot dogs or hamburgers on for a quick bite (definately useful), and a fire pick to keep those logs burning consistently (also needed to remove the cover grate without burning yourself). There are only a few minor notes about this product that consumers should know. The detachable legs are not extremely sturdy, so do not overload the pit (not a big issue at all and is expected with items that dismantle for travel purposes). Also, the pit should be washed and COMPLETELY dried after use. This will prevent rusting which can arise from neglected maintenance. Strongly recommended product.

Perfect for our purposes. Sturdy but lightweight, and the carrying case is very handy for storage. If you want to build a fire of any size, the cooking grate and the screened dome are not really usable, but if you are looking for a good size fire pit for a small patio or yard in which to build a fire for warmth and roasting hot dogs and marshmallows, this is a good choice.

This is a great little fire pit. The only problem I have had is venting it during a fire. The lids end up falling flat as they burn. It really needs some sort of vent on the bottom. The result is quite a bit of smoke from the fire. That is really it. Otherwise it's great for drive way bonfires!
