Nice grill, March 22, 2004

I've had this grill for about 3 months and am very happy with it. For a two-burner grill it has plenty of cooking area, more than enough to cook for a bbq with 10-15 people. Porcelain grill is easy to clean up. I cook on it about 2-3 tims a week.

Great grill, great price, August 23, 2004
This review is from: Charbroil Quickset Traditional 463732004 Evenflame 35,000 BTU Grill with Sideburner (Lawn & Patio)
I was replacing a banged up beaten up, unloved grill. This grill is fantastic! It is quite a hefty grill considering its not one of those fancy stainless grills. I'd estimate it at over 80lbs though the fedex guy who delivered it said it was 150 (I dont think so, I'm a female and I could push the box along my patio with relative ease). Upon removing this grill from the box (thats a LOT of pieces!) and finding the instructions I found this grill not too terribly difficult to assemble. The instructions could have been a LOT better, but they're followable (especially after dismantling the grill a few times after figuring out I put some pieces on upside down). I was a little concerned with some of the plastic screws this grill uses to hold it together. Time will tell if these can hold up. I had a few remaining nuts and bolts but after a call to charbroil's customer service, I was assured these were just extra pieces in case something were to mess up. I like that because I am not very handy.
I have 1 complaint about my experience with this grill. It came rather banged up, a few of the pieces were dented and bent. Nothing a good sharp whack with a hammer couldnt fix, but some might be touchy.
This complaint was well made up by Amazon's customer service experience I had regarding my concern getting this grill to me in time for a barbeque. Amazon really went over and above.
All in all, this is a LARGE grill considering what I was upgrading from. There is a LOT of cooking surface, a LOT of warming surface. It is a beautiful grill that deserves care. So please do yourself a favor and buy a cover for this grill so it does not rust or get damaged.
Oh for those older grillers, new grills DO NOT require lava rocks or briquettes as I was told by the Char Broil representative on the phone. So do not be shocked by this "omission". If you use lava rocks, it will void your grill's warranty.

Great Grill for the $$$$!, May 26, 2004

I was ready to pay up to $300 for a grill and decided on this one. For the money you get a grill that is easy to assemble (less than an hour - no tools), a side burner, good quality, double top rack and even fast cooking. I was looking for the latest "stainless steel" grill, but they are much more money. The price is cheap the quality is not! I am very happy with this grill. At the time I purchased the grill, Amazon did have the cheapest price even including the shipping.
