The length of these are great - just what is needed for grilling. But the handle part is so large it is very difficult to get the tongs to open and close with just one hand. It's like trying to use tongs built for Paul Bunyan! I have normal sized hands, but I have to use two hands to open and close these because the outside of the scissor handles are so far out that you REALLY have to spread your hand wide to open these up...and then there is all that space inside the handle that it is difficult to control them without using two hands. These would have been perfect if they would have had someone test these out before making the handles too big to navigate properly. Yuck - I'm sorry I bought them.

I think the only way they might work better is if you have an oven mitt on and then stick those through the tongs to fill up some of that space. But who wants to put on an oven mitt??? Isn't that why you buy things like this in the first place - to avoid having to use oven mitts all the time?

Looked everywhere for these, were afraid since they were inexpensive, they would feel cheap. Not the case. They are nice and sturdy

I searched in a lot of places to find a pair of tongs like these. The long ends are great for flipping over steaks and pork chops and the long length is great. The only real design flaw is that the openings of the scissor ends are huge. I have small hands and I always feel like my hands are falling out of the scissor ends!

Good tongs. You can find comparabl set your local do-it-best for about the same price (including shipping).

These are a must for anyone who cooks or grills. The extra long handle keeps your hands from being near the fire, or oven or grease frying pan. The tongs are grippy and wide. The best!!

I bought these to use to flip food on the barbeque. They do work but are very large. I am use to my older smaller ones. These work fine it just takes time getting use to the size.

I use this every time I bbq and it turns great very long so dont burn arm or hand well made long lasting
