The glove's aramid fibers are the same as used in spacesuits and firefighter gear. The fit of this glove allows for more pronounced usage around and on the grill surface. You can easily pick up and handle small skewers or handles that might be difficult to do with other grill gloves. And the glove extends past the wrist for more protection of the hand and lower arm, which makes it great for dumping a chimney full of blazing hot coals, or replacing a screaming hot grill grate. Wear this glove on either the right or left hand and rest assured that you've got a great, heat resistant grip with the textured silicone pattern on the glove's exterior.

This glove works well shielding heat while cooking on the grill. I like the length of the glove because it covers my wrist. For the price, I think you should get a pair. I only have one major complaint: When you sweat in the glove the lining sticks to your fingers and wants to pull out of the fingers of the outter shell.

i got this glove for grilling skewers. i was always burning my fingers really bad when i would turn the skewers and this takes care of that problem. since it works so well with that i have also used it for removing things from the oven and microwave. good product. very happy with purchase.

These are the best Oven mitts ever!! I have tried lots of different types/brands, and none even compare. My husband uses them to remove racks of ribs from the smoker with no problem. They aren't too bulky, but still keep the heat off. And they wash well if you get any sauce/charcoal on them.
