This book is simply superb, telling the reader about how the writer came to be involved in not just seeing the benefits of charcoal, but much, much more. So many of the benefits are substantiated by eye-witness reports and first hand experience. Whatever your ailment it may be that charcoal can help! Neil, Somerset, UK

5.0 out of 5 stars What can charcoal do? A LOT!!!, September 6, 2010

This review is from: Charcoal Remedies (Paperback)
Love this book! I had learned a little about charcoal when I had an upset stomach and a friend gave me some charcoal. I felt 95% better within about 10 minutes. But after reading this book, I'm absolutely amazed at how many more ways charcoal can be used! Great information, good instruction, everyone should keep charcoal on hand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Activated Charcoal - The Most Incredible and Least Known Remedy, July 13, 2010
By
This review is from: Charcoal Remedies (Paperback)
I have been using activated charcoal for my family for years - for sore throats, heartburn, gastrointestinal disturbances, sores and abscesses, etc. It works quickly and well and my family rarely goes to the doctor because of this simple cure (and other healthy lifestyle habits we practice).

This book has taught me many more uses for charcoal that I was unaware of. The author includes many testimonies of people who have used charcoal in a variety of situations - including severe illnesses, poisonings, infections, etc. Especially encouraging are the stories of people whose cases seemed hopeless, even to the doctors, and how activated charcoal was used to return them back to health. Every household ought to have this book and a supply of activated charcoal on hand.

The author of this book first tried charcoal on the advice of a missionary doctor and recovered quickly, encouraging him to look further into charcoal, how it works, the scientific research on charcoal, the many ways charcoal is used in every day life, and testimonies of people around the world who have used it for a variety of conditions, from mild to serious, with astounding results. I highly recommend this book!

5.0 out of 5 stars The all in one, all you need book about Charcoal, August 1, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Charcoal Remedies (Paperback)
John Dinsley has taken the wisdom and knowledge from his own experiences as well as the other books on the subject and condensed it into one book. Covers all uses internal and external. Explains what it is and isn't used for. How it works different forms and how it extends beyond health into many other areas. Shares historical background and uses of it. Clearly states that Charcoal is still a mystery to be revealed. Gets down to explaining what to do when you dont have the "store bought" on hand and how charcoal is everywhere just use your common sense. Valuable are all the stories interweaved throughout the book that illustrate its uses. Great book. A keeper in the library. One of the best holistic health care books on my shelf. It is thorough. It is enough detail without too much. Just right.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow! Didn't Know It Could Be So Useful, November 18, 2011
This review is from: Charcoal Remedies (Paperback)
I was not able to find a book on charcoal at the time and so I purchased this.
I am not disappointed.
The author does not guarantee that charcoal is a cure all.
It is clear to me that anyone with little children should have this around in the medicine cabinet. Read the book...tells what it is and is not helpful for treating. Read about drinking of water with the use of the charcoal.

FYI--Does work for gas issues and reflux.

4.0 out of 5 stars Charcoal Remedies.com, November 11, 2009
This review is from: Charcoal Remedies (Paperback)
While i found this book to be very informative, if i had known that there would be any mention of God, Jesus Christ, or the Creator, in the book, i would not have bought it as i am Wiccan and wanted a book written strictly on the uses of charcoal with no mainstream religious attributes. As i am into herbal/natural rememdies, i wanted very much to learn more about the benefits of charcoal, and as many healthcare providers seem reluctant to provide this information so we might help care for ourselves when possible instead of racking up huge medical bills, i felt finding a book to have in my home library the best option. That being said, i have taken what useful information i can from it, written down the uses, how many capsules to use, how much powdered charcoal equals a gram, how to make a poultice, etc, and have since put the book in recycle. Since reading through the book, I have used charcoal as a whitener for my teeth and also used it for acid indigestion with excellent reults. Now knowing its many uses, i will put some in my first aid kit as well.
