This tool was so hard to open that I had to sell it.
I could not loosen them even with the right tool.
They looked great but definitely not worth the hassle.
I went out and bought the wave also made by leatherman.

I thought that I would never upgrade from my trusty old PST II. Then I looked at what this tool includes and decided that it WAS time to upgrade!

As a security guard, having a tool like this is just common sense. In an emergency, I don't have to hunt for a pair of pliers etc., because there already at my hip. For example, if I'm trapped in a seatbelt in a car wreck, I just flip out the hook-blade and 'ziiiip', the belt is cut.

As a hobbist, this is nice to have as well. Most of your common hobby tools are RIGHT THERE. (Add the 40 Bit Assortment and you have ALL the common tools.)

And finally, for home repair... yep, here too is a good place to have this handy. Instead of hunting for a pocket knife, screwdriver or pliers, whip out the ALX and get to the job that you need to do.

So, if you're thinking of taking the plunge for a pocket tool-kit, just get the ALX. You'll be glad you did so once you see what YOU can get done with it...
