Metal/Hard Rocks Fans, Check This Out!!!!!!, December 16, 2006
Wow, finally available on CD!!!These guys are practically unknown outside their native Japan, but they rock!!! Charge, I believe is their third album; their earliest ones are the best. Brilliant instrumental work all around; their sound is straightforward 70's hard rock that is subtley complex rhythmically. Influences appear to be Deep Purple, Ted Nugent, and there is a Van Halen like element, but Bow Wow pre-dates them. Many people get turned off by the vocals, sung in a mixture of broken English and Japanese. Often their English lyrics don't make any sense, but to me the instrumental wizardry makes it all worthwhile in the end. Charge is among their two or three best albums.
