Perfect!
Just what I needed! My I-pod shuffle 2nd generation has been out of service for months because the other charger I had broke, but this one was an inexpensive solution. Great gadget!

First the good: I received a cord from the company that didn't work. I emailed them and they promptly sent out another cord.
The bad: The second cord didn't work either. My son's ipod shuffle is 3rd generation and this is supposed to be the cord. It doesn't work.

Not worth it,

It broke in less than a month. By broke I mean the usb head connector broke off from the wired chip because the plastic is so cheap that it doesn't keep the usb head connected tightly. Each time I pulled it out it would come loose and ended up having to wiggle it out of the usb port. Plus, the transfer rate is slower than Apple's usb: Max I ever saw was 3MB/s compared to Apple's 5MB/s. Better off spending more money with Apple's version because then at least it'll give you more value for your money and will last longer.

Lost my 4th generation cable so went looking for a replacement. This was a lot cheaper than Apple's, so I ordered it. As another reviewer commented, I should have read the reviews first. It doesn't work at all. Tried several USB ports and two different computers, Mac and PC. Will not charge or even connect my shuffle. Waste of money.
