Don't get up to Duran Duran , get down to the Bellend Bop!, June 17, 2008
This review is from: Charged Gbh: Clay Records (Audio CD)
GBH, my favorite Punk band!
This 2-CD collection has some singles [No Survivor , Give Me Fire, Do What You Do & Leather, Bristles, Studs And Acne EP] and album cuts from their proper album "City Baby Attacked By Rats" and "City Baby's Revenge". The songs are not remastered, though they sound great here. 30 songs total, and even though this is not the complete Clay Recordings [like the recently released "Race Against Time - The Complete Clay Recordings"]it's a good place to start for the uninitiated. Also , check out " Clay Years 1981-1984" or "Clay Punk Singles Collection", if you can't get it.
If you already own all the singles and albums, then you might just want to get this as a collectors item, or as a Comp to listen to their early material, I believe it's out of print...beware of ridiculous prices.

Britain's Ramones, July 29, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Charged Gbh: Clay Records (Audio CD)
If the Ramones had been born in England (and had been a little angrier), they would have been GBH (Grievous Bodily Harm or Great Britain Hardcore). This is a collection of GBH's early albums. Infectious lyrics and riffs make this a must have for lovers of straight forward punk rock. This stuff KICKS!
