I bought this as I had to power my laptop on the road, and previously tried to use an inverter and my regular charger. Unfortunately, it kept blowing the fuse in the car. This device was just what I needed. Now I no longer have the fuse blow when I power my 17" macbook pro! It's just what I needed!

We generally take long road trips that extend well past the run time my daughter's mac book on battery power, so when we surprised her with this adapter before our last road trip, she was delighted because she could now work with her mac book on the whole trip! In the past, the adapters that I looked at in the past were priced beyond my comfort level for such a device, but this unit was very reasonable and well designed. It has power indicator lights at the socket and the power pack which I find to be handy!

Researched before buying this product and haven't been disappointed. My 15" macbook pro stayed fully charged on my road trip without a hitch.

This is a great product at a great price. It works well for taking your Mac on the go. I wasn't sure because the price was so good...but I read the other reviews and I'm happy I purchased.

This little charger fits the bill. It works well for my MacBook Pro i7 which requires an 85W charger. Even when using the computer the battery still charges. I've ordered car chargers in the past that don't quite work and feel like they are very cheaply made. This is nicely constructed, has a red light that indicates that its connected correctly to the 12V socket and otherwise works just like you would expect it to.

What could be more perfect for a long car ride than being able to power up your laptop in the car? Who needs an in-car DVD system (recently opted not to get one), when you can watch movies on the laptop? The product seemed a bit light-weight and cheapish (material), but it really surprised me and was an excellent product. It worked great! Also works on planes that have this type of plug.

We live in the Wrangell Mountains in Alaska and power our entire house with DC Solar power which we store in L16 heavy duty 12 volt batteries. We have this adapter plugged directly into the batteries. The adapter works great and saves energy in that we don't have to invert to AC power in order to use the standard MAC power cord.

I was looking around at some much more expensive car adapters but decided to save a bit of green. I have to say that the product works just as it is supposed to. I was pleasantly surprised! Less bulky than some of those power inverters, too. The mag connector seems a little weak though, but I can live with that.

Just took this on a road trip to San Diego and it worked flawlessly. The charger charged the laptop faster than from a wall outlet.

So glad to have this product! Solid construction, perfect connection to my Macbook Pro. The 12-volt connection plug could lock into the socket a little firmer though. Sometimes I lose connection if I bump the plug or cable. I usually wedge something between plug and socket to tighten it up, which is a easy to do, but annoying. Not a deal-breaker though, as I'm so glad to have the perfect power option for my Mac! Buy it!
