This item was purchased on the 16th of Dec and recieved on the 23rd of Dec. I was uncertain that it would be compatible with the 2nd gen. iPod Touch as some people had mentioned in their reviews that some products, though advertised to be compatible, did not work properly with their iPod. I found that both chargers (car/wall) function as advertised. Item shipped/arrived as expected and works great. Sure beats the $30 wall charger from the apple store as I now have one for the car to boot for one low price. Look at it this way, you can buy three of these things for the same price as one individual wall charger from the apple store and you still wouldn't have a car charger. In my opinion, it's a no-brainer.

It annoys me how Apple changed their products such that you have to connect them to your computer and sync it in order to charge the new iPods. Such a waste! So a stand-alone charger was on my mind. I held a few reservations with this item--as I didn't recognize the manufacturer or the vendor. But I'm glad to report that I'm quite happy with the purchase. It does exactly what it claims to do (charges iTouch 2G) and at a much cheaper price than the AppleStore. No reason not to buy it.

Update: AC Charger quit working about 7 months after purchase. For the price, it still may be worth it.

Works great with my Itouch 2nd generation. Just don't be in a hurry to receive this.

I was one of the unlucky ones who got a wall charger that it's advertised as 2G compatible, but it just makes my iPod goes "crazy" when I connect this crappy charger. By crazy, I mean, it goes off and on repeatedly like it was being disconnected and connected back again from the wall outlet and it never stops. This is for the wall charger only, but I'm not so willing now to even try the car charger after this mishap. I guess the "you get what you paid for" phrase is ringing loudly through my ears...

Both the car charger and wall charger arrived in nondescript packaging with no brand name.

The good news is that, so far, the iPOD Touch appears to be charging fine with both products.

The bad news is that once the wall charger is plugged in, I cannot unlock the iPOD Touch by sliding the unlock bar on screen. Try as I might, the unlock bar does not slide all the way, and the iPOD remains locked while it is being wall charged. As soon as I disconnect the wall charger, the iPOD behaves normally again.

In addition, the LED lights on the chargers serve no useful purpose, as they remain lit up whether you have the iPOD connected to the charger or not.

I guess you get what you pay for......

Within one week of use, one of the wall plug pins broke on the Home Travel Charger. The pin got stuck in the wall socket, making it very dangerous to get out! It's a hazard waiting to happen.

I purchased this product to be used for my 2nd Generation 32 GB Ipod Touch. It works perfectly!! I was a little worried since it was so cheap but the home charger and the car charger do exactly what they are suppose to.

For this review I also plugged in my daughters 1st Generation 16 GB Ipod Touch to see if it would charge it and it did. So it must work for 1st gen and 2nd gen.

Wow what a bargain!!

The advertisement says compatible with 3rd generation, and the charger is marked as "30G" but when we plug it in, the iPod puts up a message saying an incompatible charger was attached. The iPhone simply did not charge. I bought two sets, and both sets had the same problem.

Updated Thanksgiving time frame

I received an email saying that the wrong wall charger had been sent and that replacements would be coming. The replacements came, looked identical (with identical markings on the charger), but seem to charge the iPod and iPhone. I don't know if the replacements came because they saw my previous comment, or if all of the people who purchased this set got the replacement.

The original car charger worked, albeit more slowly that expected. It takes 15 minutes
for an iPhone to get out of the "red zone" of battery charging. Recharges much more quickly when attached to the computer or using the wall adapter that came with it.

My iphone 3GS didnot respond when connected to this charger. The functions got so slow the phone was useless when connected. I would not recommend it for 3GS.

A disappointment. The wall charger actually sparked when I plugged it in the wall. Thinking that maybe the polarity was wrong (the blades are not asymmetrical, so you can't tell), I plugged it in the other way. My Touch 2G would not charge and now I'm scared of frying my Touch to try to again. A friend of mine ordered the same thing and told me hers didn't work either. Not worth returning, it'll go into the landfill. Sorry I can't give any info on the car charger as I purchased this set for the wall charger only.
