Recently got a new droid and needed a cradle for the car. Because I'm a tight-wad, I sorted by price vs. shipping and chose Empire. I completely expected to get what I paid for and just have to deal with a cheap, lame cradle - WRONG!!! I am nothing but pleased with this thing for these reasons...
1) The suction cup is STRONG. I know this because my windshield is DIRTY. The cradle's been installed for weeks and it hasn't budged. I didn't even have to lick it! ^_~
2) The bendy arm is remarkably TIGHT. It holds my droid exactly where I want it - no re-adjusting AT ALL.
3) The clamp part is just plain cool.
a) It's wide enough accept and squeezes in to fit any phone.
b) Has little swing out feet to support the phone in the vertical position.
c) The ratchetting system for vert/hor positioning is TIGHT - NO SAG!
d) The clamp and release action is smooth.
e) The clamp arms are angled inwards, so if you've got volume buttons (or whatever) on the side of your phone, don't squeeze the clamp so hard - it'll nicely hold your phone without pushing your buttons! (pun intended)
e) One-handed operation. Phone, squeeze, drive. Park, phone, leave. No fiddling at all!
4) I drive a minivan (What? I got 3 kids and a HOT wife!), so the windshield is really deep. The bendy arm is long enough to reach where it's out of my line of sight - no obstruction. Was worried about that. Now I'm not.
5) Very easy to assemble. Honestly, it took me longer to remember that I had to assemble the thing than it did to actually assemble the thing.

***** FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY *****

Beware of this product, I mounted the suction to my windshield and as soon as I put it on the suction piece broke off from the mount. I normally don't complain, but to have a product break in less than 5 minutes of having it in my hands is frustrating at best.

Do not buy anything from this seller.
My Garmin Vehicle Suction Cup Mount, which I bought from this company when it delivered it was strange that the protective foil on the holder as a stripped and restored.
When I tried to put the equipment in the same car was dropped after 2-3 minutes.
I tried to clean it and ask for another glass but again dropped.
Obviously someone has returned a product that was later sold to me.
Truly pathetic and miserable for 5-6 $

I've spent a few weeks going on Amazon, looking and looking for a car windshield/dash mount cradle holder for my HTC Inspire 4G. I needed something to where I can easily get to my phone while driving in my car. I've actually gone into stores, like Best Buy, but they either don't have what I'm really looking for or that it's too expensive. I saw this one, HTC Inspire 4G Car Windshield Dash Mount Cradle Holder Kit Desire G10. When I FIRST saw this, it was a completely different picture (the main picture of showing the holder sitting in both directions). Before and after I had purchased and received this item, it showed a different picture and it's NOT what I received in the mail. Like right now, I'm seeing on the side of my screen - the Item being reviewed- a holder that has silver on the sides that hold the phone in place, whereas the one I got is all black. I guess it really doesn't matter now, but wished that the it didn't show 2 different pictures when it's the same product name.

I'll have to say that (so far) the sucttion cup (I have it placed on my windshield) has been on since the moment I put it on there. Hasn't fallen off, even how hot it's been here lately :) I do like how long the neck is on it, being able to move it for reaching purposes. I did try placing it on the dashboard in my car, but it's not really a flat surface so it wouldn't have stayed. But I like being able to place it on the left side of the steering-wheel, not in the way of my view. :)

I would've probably given this a 4-5 star, but being that I wasn't really happy seeing that what I got didn't look like the picture I've been seeing more and more every time I've clicked on "HTC Inspire 4G ATT Car Windshield Dash Mount Cradle Holder Kit Desire G10." Another thing, I had done a 'test run' by placing my phone in the holder and taking it out, but every time I've done that, the cradle comes WITH my phone. :/ It was annoying me b/c even though there's a LOCK thing on the back of the cradle itself, it wasn't staying put at all. I was getting a bit frustrated. So since I'm just using that holder mainly for my phone, having it in the vertical position I had my husband super-glue the cradle to the suction cup part. LOL! There was no point in shipping this item back to the seller and I wasn't about to go and spend way MORE than what I had paid for to begin with elsewhere. So far, it's working well, just I guess a little 'tacky' that the cradle is now super-glued to the other part. But hey, it's fine with me. Get's the job done, right? I don't need anything too extravagant.

Item appears identical to factory unit. GPS fits perfectly into it. the factory unit "pulled" apart from the suction cup after about a year. this unit failed 4 months after purchase. Usage was occasional, at best. I have no choice but to purchase another one. hope it lasts longer though.

This is an incredibly useful product that's adjustable to fit any smartphone. I'm using it for an iPhone 4 without a case, an iPhone 3G S with a bulky case & for a big HTC Amaze with and without a case.
This product could hold phones bigger than my biggest (Amaze 4G) and smaller than my smallest (iPhone 4) and it holds well.
It's incredibly useful for holding in landscape mode hanging from my windshield while I'm using GPS navigation on my phone. The suction holds tight and doesn't come off. It's also convenient to store the phone in portrait while my phone is connected to my car stereo streaming music.

THERE'S ONE BIG FLAW in this product and that's the switch on the back side that locks the swivel in landscape or in portrait mode. The problem is it's built flush with the backside, it's very hard to reach around and feel to find, and it's really really tight. I know how to work with my hands but I can't for the life of me force this locking switch into place. The only way for me to do it is to pull the mount off the window, and then push the switch into place. Without the lock switch pushed into place, the weight of the phone is too much for the mount to hold in landscape.
I'm going to bring the mount into my house and work on the defective switch to see if I can cut away the track it slides in to losen it up. The switch needs to be built larger so when you reach around the back it's easy to feel and easy to slide into place.
With the low price and how useful this mount is, this could be a five star product. With the one major defect it makes it a nuisance to use.

I purchased this for my Droid Pro and it works great. No complaints - - is solid and holds phone well. Sticks to windshield very well also. Phone can be slid up or down within the grips to make ports and/or controls accessible.
