While not long, these cables are more than sufficient if you've lost your original cable or charger: they draw power from the USB connection. They are also light and inexpensive. An all-around bargain.

it is basic USB cable. it does what it says for $ 0.18, much less than many other competitive ones.
the end where they have actual plugs are well protected also. highly recommend!

At first, I was upset about this item. Rather than the "extended mini-USB" that the HTC phones use (like the G1), it has what appears to be a completely normal mini-USB. After seeing that (on the delivered product, couldn't tell on the photo), I assumed that it could only be used for charging, since most (if not all) HTC phones require the extended USB cable for sync'ing.

And yet it works. I can only guess that it's a different pin wiring in the cable. But it works. Hard to argue with that.

Other than that, seems like a sturdy, well-made cable with good, solid connectors. Probably wouldn't pull a bass boat effectively, but certainly good for data xfer.

Not much to say about a USB cable other than it does it's job.
A bit short to my taste, but I knew it in advance as it appears in the product description.

I am using this cable with my Google G1 phone. I was hoping that I can sync data with the cable, but my PC cannot recognize my phone when I plug it into the USB port. Anyway, this is great for charging the phone.

i was not expecting to transfer data just charge my phone whether it was from my computer or from my car, but it worked as expected. I had no need for data transfer and that is mainly because i use my phone for voice communications and not taking pictures or texting. So transferring data was not required. If you have the software then it might do data transfers, but do not expect it for anything more than to charge your phone. I tried to use it for transferring data as a test, but no matter what i seemed to do installing the required software as the machine required, but still no data transfer or syncing. Charging the battery worked perfectly. Not sure why picture quality is part of the rating, but i gave the cable the full 5 stars.

The cable i purchased arrived with rust all over the steel ends. I could have accepted that but the cable doesn't work at all. Very upset that i wasted my money on worthless garbage. i buy alot of electronics and accessories online, never again from this seller. Id be thrilled if they took the initiative to send me one that works.
