Formatting is bad. No photos..., but they give you captions! Talk about salt in the wound! Save your money toward buying the REAL book in print.

Good info, poor formatting, no illustrations,

Lots of good info, but not very good info, and none of the pictures and graphics that should be there. A big part of the information is the illustrations showing the spacecraft and equipment. They really should be there. It should be free at this point.

A million dollars of real info for a buck!,

If you want to really understand how we got to the moon, the bureaucracy, the basic science and technology, the people truly resposible, the sheer magnitude of the planning, the difficulties & stumbling blocks along the way, as well as the spacecrafts, missions and ground support that made this impossible task possible, then this book is for you. Clear, concise with a straight forward, not to technical delivery. The lack of illustrations and the irritating "phantom photo captions" in no way diminish the quality and completeness of the information given at a bargain price...I love a GOOD bargain

This book contains lots of detailed information about the various components of the Apollo hardware stack and the people who built it, but the formatting makes it very unpleasant to read. The footnotes and bibliographic references are presented inline with the text and reproduced in the same typeface and font size as the main text, making it very difficult to distinguish the text from the references. The text is also cluttered with non sequitur paragraphs...which I eventually figured out were captions for photos, graphics, and diagrams that are not included in the text. Since the text repeatedly refers to the diagrams and graphics, it is particularly jarring that the graphics are not included.I'd happily pay for a well designed Kindle version, but even at 99 cents, this one was over priced.

The Kindle edition, which I triend on the Android reader, is missing the many illustrations of the original book.
