Charlee Bears are small and low calorie, so you can use them en masse for training. We use them both for standard training (sit, stay, drop it, leave it) and behavioral training (no bark). They're not stinky or messy, so you can put them in your pocket, purse, or car without worry. We keep a small bag in the car for travel to reinforce when our puppy doesn't bark at people walking by, one by the door to reinforce when she goes to the bathroom outside, and a bunch of treats in a treat bag for travel.

The one downside to these is that because they're not as stinky, it can be harder to use them to get your dog's attention if he or she is distracted, like at the dog park or if you have a bunch of visitors. Our trick to get around this is that we put some stinky treats in the treat bag with these, and they'll take on some of the scent (We use Pro-Treat Beef Liver, Freeze Dried Dog Treats, 21 Ounce).

Our dog loves all flavors.

Charlie Bears are great. They are especially great for smaller dog breeds. They are delicate little crackers (much like oyster crackers you put in soup). These treats come in a variety of flavors. My dogs are picky and these are just about the only dog "bisquit" they'll eat. You don't even have to worry about your dog's weight....these little treats are only 3 calories! Also great for training a puppy!

I went with the reviews on this one, and unfortunately was disappointed. I have a 9 pound corgi puppy, and he seemed to be ok with the flavor of these. Unfortunately, they weren't good for training, because whenever he would ingest more than a few, it would make him vomit. It seems like the flour in this product was upsetting his stomach. Replaced them with the 100 percent liver treats and haven't had any issues since.

My dog absolutely loves Charlee Bears. Give her a couple at the same time as dinner, and dinner waits, she goes straight for the Charlee Bears. Unfortunately, the pet store I used to get them from stopped selling them. I'm so glad I found them on Amazon! I can't wait to order some, my dog will be so happy! Plus, they're the only treats I've seen that will fit into her TreatBall.

These treats keep for several months without going bad and my dog still devours them after having the bag stored in the pantry for more than 8 months now. I just take 4 or 5 on occasion and she cant scarf them fast enough. I really like this compared to milk bones. The milk bones tend to get rancid after a month of sitting. This stuff doesn't seem to get rancid at all and smells just like it did the first day I got it. I will be buying it again.

My dogs don't like charlie bear treats anymore. Recently since early 2011 the color and smell of these little treats as well as the texture (they are harder) seems changed. Maybe this is why my dogs turn up their noses at them now. Has anyone else experienced this? I wonder sometimes if the liver has been left out? if the product has changed and dogs don't like it anymore I guess we won't buy it anymore, If the company thought success meant they could change the formula. My dogs nose knows! Marika

My dogs love these and they are only 5 calories each. My dog sitter did once accidentally snack on a few thinking they were liver crackers!

My dog is a picky eater, so finding treats she will eat is a challenge! She LOVES these treats and, since she is a small dog, their small size really helps in training/rewards. Trainging an adult dog that was a stray and not house broken or previously trained AND was a picky eater seemed impossible and I was VERY glad that I found these treats to help me!
