Warm her heart with a sweet silhouette and the luster of mother-of-pearl. This heart-shaped pendant by Charles Albert boasts elegant beauty for a natural look that can be worn everyday.
From early childhood, Pennsylvania native Charles Albert was an avid stone collector, fascinated by the fossils and minerals he encountered while exploring the lot next to his grandmother’s house. Although he didn’t know it at the time, stones would later define his future.
As a teenager, Charles always had an entrepreneurial spirit and knew he would start his own business. Charles launched his company with just $60 and a dream—first selling costume jewelry and then gradually transitioning into manufacturing fine sterling silver. Within a few years he met his wife, Beth, who would later join his company. Together, they have transformed Charles Albert Inc. into the fashion-forward brand it is today.
In August of 2011, Charles Albert introduced Alchemía to fill a noticeable void in the accessories market by providing an accessible alternative to gold jewelry that boasted the same superior quality of his fine sterling-silver pieces. The company sought to create a cost-effective option to more expensive metals. Charles Albert chose to call the collection “Alchemía” (pronounced al-KHEM- ee-uh), the Latin word for “alchemy”—the ancient craft of seeking to transform lesser metals into gold. The inspiration for Alchemía’s color palette is derived from nature’s organic beauty. Alchemía features couture necklaces as centerpieces that inspire the collection’s statement rings, cuffs, bracelets, pendants and earrings.
Since the company was founded in 1990, Charles has scoured the globe in search of only the highest-quality minerals, fossils and gemstones in order to create exquisite pieces of wearable art for today’s modern woman. With a well-earned reputation for being bold and edgy, Charles Albert designs are red-carpet regulars, seen on celebrities such as Cee Lo Green, Ke$ha, Kat Graham, Mya, Joan Rivers, Adam Lambert and Niecy Nash.
Charles continues to push fashion boundaries with each new collection through his innovative designs and distinctive stone choices. Today, he still collects rocks like he did as a young boy, though his collection has become significantly larger and is now known as Charles Albert®.
