3.0 out of 5 stars Charles Barkley Star Forward or Big Shot, March 30, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Charles Barkley: Star Forward (Sports Reports) (Library Binding)
The book title is Charles Barkley Star Forward by Ron Knapp. The author supports his sentences well, but he didn't really make good complete sentences. It was like he didn't really look over the book after he had written it. If your a Suns fan and a basketball follower then this book would at least show you some history or background and also some stats about him.

The form that this book is written in was the author started on the most current part in which the book was written in and then he went back to talk about Charles' rookie years and his life. Then the author went back to the current events and explained his current results.

This book isn't very long, however it gets the points across even though the book is older the stats are correct because it takes you all the way through his whole career and life until he retired. The book shows the point of how great a player he was and how much he gave for his team. "He'll do everything he can to win a championship." -Suns head coach Paul Westphal

Charles did everything, but was unsuccessful in the first attempt at a national championship against Michael Jordan and the highflying Bulls. The book is strait forward and doesn't really tell much about his full career with the Suns and his teams before them.

This book does contain his results of his championships, stats from college, and important games with important people in the games such as other star players that were in the NBA. It also tells the awards that he had received for example, the MVP award that he got his first year with the Suns.

This book doesn't really keep you in it and I think this book should be updated and written more accurately. Right now this book would be on a fifth grade reading level, and I would recommend this book for them.
