5.0 out of 5 stars A Berlitz Sampler of the World You May have Ignored., December 14, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: Charles Berlitz's World of Strange Phenomena (Mass Market Paperback)
To open Your horizons to other facts that You may have not considered, Mr. Berlitz gives us the option to open our minds to what we Mortals have yet to conceive. To open Your small world and magnify it into something worth investigating, We have this guide book to answer the immortal question,"Is that all there is?". Consider this book with all the faith you can conjur, it is well researched (I have read all findings in other related books of its type) and well written. Berlitz gives you the chance to allow yourself to take another look (more intensely) at the world you ordinarily take for granted. If have you any skeptisism in the world you now reside, Give this book a look. It will help you see things with more scrutiny. It is a subtle history of the unseen and therefore unhistorical in the eyes of the masses. I was unable to put it down.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Great Place to Start!, July 2, 2005
If you're interested in all of the unexplained phenomena in the world, than this book would be a great place to start. It includes short (usual less than 1 page) pieces on virtually everything you could think of. Then, if you find your interest piqued, you could research the subject further with other books on the topic.

Overall, I found this book to be an easy, thought provoking & fun book to read. And, even though it is now out of print, it's worth looking for.

5.0 out of 5 stars one story per page, this is great transit reading material!, July 11, 2001

ghost stories, esp stories, lost lands, people, present day dinosaurs, ufos, etc. etc. to the tune of one short story per page on average.

I found this the perfect book for my scatterbrained mind when on a plane, taking the muni to work, etc. etc. The stories are very interesting and keep you entertained, but are short enough to read a dozen before your destination! Loaned it to friends many times and they've all found their own copies since.
