If you have never read or heard about this story, read it! Jackson is a master story teller, insuring that even the most picky reader will enjoy this tale. Any mother who has ever had a problem with her childs' behavior in school will take comfort from this story, gaurenteed!

I give Charles a 5 star because it's hilarious. For people who haven't read it should read it because it is funny. This book is for a family to enjoy. When you ever go to a book store go find this and get it.

I gave "Charles" 5 stars because it was such a good story. Even when you are feeling bad just pick up this book and you will feel a lot better.(TRUST ME, IT WORKS).

I gave Charles 4 stars because I thought it was clever and it had characters that everyone could relate to. It was a story that was good for the whole family to read. The ending was quite surprising. This story is worth reading and it is just a great book. I read it in my literature class and I want others to read it to. I think you'll love it just like I did.

I gave the book Charles a four star because the book was good . It was a funny book! But I shoudn't tell you the ending. You should find out yourself. The character Charles is a real trouble maker. He causes so many problems. The character Laurie is more like a good kid who does what he's told. But he admires Charles a lot. I wonder why? Well you'll have to fnd out for yourself!

I gave charles three stars beacause it is an average book. It is a good book to read if you want to laugh. I liked the way Laurie described charles. The ending was very shocking. personally I would not buy this book with my own money, but you should chek this book out at the library and read it.

I gave Charles 5 stars becuase I thought it was really funny. It was funny becuase the way he talks to his dad. Another reason is when he comes home and starts talking about how bad Charles was behaving. Those were the reasons I like Charles the book.

just to mention it. He would pull off some things you know and some things you don't. If you're really bored and you need a good story to read, you should get the story Charles by
Shirley Jackson. The main characters just to tell you is Laurie, Charles, and Laurie's parents. Charles is really bad or funny character.

I gave this story 3 stars because of the funny characters and the funny ending. But most of all this is the best story I read in literature class. The thing I didn't like about the story is the
things the secret character did, but find out yourself.
