I have been looking for a tan suede pump for over a year now, so I was thrilled to find this. I read reviews of this shoe on various websites, and they all said it was either "true to size" or "1/2 size too big." Only here have I seen any reviewers saying it's 1/2 size too small. I have been noticing that lately a lot of shoes seem to be running 1/2 size too big, so I ordered it in 6 instead of my usual 6.5, especially since the heel is so high. I figured I needed a snug fit. The length is fine, but the toe box feels just a wee bit crowded. If I had gone w/ a 6.5, I think the heel would slip off. However, the front is a little short, meaning there is a little toe cleavage on all toes (mostly at the big toe), and I do not have long toes. In fact, some might consider them on the stubby side. So, that is why I left off one star--beautiful shoe with a nicely sculpted heel, but the toe box is tight and short. Since the heel can vary by size, in case anyone is wondering (as I was), the size 6 measures exactly 4" at the back of the heel.

When I received the blue suede Charles David Pompador pumps, I was over whelmed!! Words could not express just how good they look!!! Just perfect for the outfit I purchased. As I dressed for my special night out with my husband, he told me just how gorgeous the shoes were with my outfit. NOW, You know I was on cloud nine!!!!. Thank you Amazon for making my special night out with my husband a very memorable one.

Got these beautiful shoes in the bronze color. They are really narrow and tight, even though I'm consistently a size six. Also a little narrow for me. Sad to say I don't think I can keep them.

Any Charles David at this price is a deal and this one's no exception. The Pompadour's been a popular style for several years for good reason. It's such a well made shoe with a classic style - always current. From the plush, high quality outer (bought gorgeous red suede) to the ultra soft lining, to the cushy footbed. It's an all around quality classic shoe. Typical Charles David.
Have several pair and the fit does run just slightly large on all of them- but it's not even 1/2 size (more like 1/4 size???) so not enough to size down. I love that little extra bit of room with a four inch heel! It feels perfect - no toe crunching. Nothing negative to say about this shoe - except that my size wasn't available in more colors!!

I absolutely love love love these shoes. The heal is a bit high but they are still fantastic. I can wear them with Jean and Dresses and they still look amazing. And I can't help but sing. "Blue Suede Shoes" when I wear them. :-) They always put a smile on my face.

I saw these pumps and I thought wow, these are hot. They are not as bright as that the pic shows it's more of a light light mustard color and the heel is jus not high enough for me, I guess I will be wearing these to work def a not a pump to wear to a party.I am very dissapointed

I LOVE LOVE LOVE these shoes! At the suggestion of other buyers, I ordered an 8 while I almost always wear a 7.5, and that worked out perfectly. They are super hot and remind me of Barbie shoes! The heels are quite high, so I will have to save them for occasions where not a ton of walking is involved. I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

These shoes are absolutely chic. I had been searching for a nude pump that I could wear for both work and play. Unfortunately, the heel is quite high--I live in high heels, but can not wear these for an extended length of time, say work to cocktails. I would recommend ordering an entire size larger.

and glue looks visible on the outside...

Not impressed will be returning.
