The bag was a gift for my mother. At first she was ecstatic for the gift. It was everything that she wanted... but only after limited use for 2 months the "calf fur" has completely started to fall off, just leaving bare spots. She has stopped using the bag, since it has become that of an eye sore. I would highly recommend not to purchase this bag.

I am a fan of CHarles David's Handbags. However, I was a little disappointed with this purchase. ALthough, the satchel is really nice and I received many compliments, the satchel does not close securely. The mechanism that keeps the bag closed is magnetic. I'm not sure whether the mechanism is defective or bags with magnetic closures are just not ideal for securing personal belongings.
Overall, the bag is a good bargain for the price but I am hesistant walking around with the bag slightly opened. |
