In his informed but friendly manner, Charles Faudree takes readers on a tour through rooms of his own and those of his client-friends. From his perspective of not a few years’ decorating experience, he shares reasons and rationale for making design decisions, interprets his insights into home decorating, and exudes his passion for people and home. As Charles says, “The most important ingredient of a home is that it must have soul.”
In Charles Faudree Home, the emphasis is on Country French style and creating a home that reflects the personalities and lives of the people who live there.
Special guest writers—a few of Charles’s talented friends (designers, artists, family and clients) who have the knack of creating wonderful homes—add their unique insights on how to make the most of the spaces we live in.
While acknowledging that our expectations of home today might not be what they were twenty-some years ago, Faudree confirms that paring down to a simpler life can still include favorite collections and a great mix of fabric and furniture.
Come along, and experience the comfortable elegance of large family living areas and kitchens, as well as intimate spaces of the boudoir, library, dressing room and even closets.
