I got this for my pocket watch to prevent it from scratching up, and it fits perfectly. I wanted an "official" leather holder so that I knew it would fit the watch correctly, so I got this one. As such, for a pricey leather holder, it's not entirely without flaw.

Sure, it looks nice, and the front is well made, but the back and inside isn't covered with frontal leather. It's the "rougher" side of leather, so, while it does hold the watch, it may scratch up the crystal casing. I'm hoping that because it fits snugly, it shouldn't go about messing up the cosmetics.

For over $20, I expected a handsomely made holder. Unfortunately, while I don't think I'll get another case, it's not the best Charles-Hubert could've done, considering how expertly made their watches are.

I bought this as a gift for my father to hold and protect his retirement watch (a non-hunter pocket watch). It is a perfect fit and is sleek and discreet. very nicely made of top grain leather with neat stitching. He was very happy with it... and a friend asked him about his new "micro-cell phone"-- which gave him a good laugh. He says that it rides easy on his belt and is small enough that he never feeels it on his belt-- it doesn't gig him in the ribs and hasn't gotten caught on anything.

The leather is very tough and I had to do some conditioning on it but it serves its purpose. The pocket watch is a little tight but I know it's not going anywhere. I recommend using a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol on the pouch when it arrives and then applying a thin coat of leather conditioner to help soften it up a little.
