Very accurate for a mechanical watch,

This review is from: Charles-Hubert, Paris Rose Gold-Plated Mechanical Pocket Watch (Watch)
A mechanical pocket watch is certainly a tradition -- you're either into them or not, in which case a quartz wristwatch will be for you. I find it a very personal sort of yoga almost to wind and set a pocket watch every morning when I get up. If a mechanical pocket watch is what you want, this is a very accurate mechanical watch out of the box. I had a Colibri that gained twenty minutes a day and the cost to have a watchsmith adjust it would probably have doubled the price, so I donated it. This Charles-Hubert watch gains less than a minute a day out of the box -- superb for a mechanical watch. It has a nice case (you can see the front part of the movement, which is cool) and comes with a nice matching chain. The only thing I would do differently is get the regular gold instead of the rose gold since I think it is a little too pink looking for a man's watch. You might like it though and think it is more copper colored. I liked the quality and value of the watch so much I put it back in the nice presentation box to save as a graduation or retirement present and bought myself the sterling silver version of this watch (which is absolutely gorgeous). It will become a family heirloom for sure. Quality-wise this watch is clearly excellent and has a lifetime warranty.
Amended February 2011: Lowered it from five to four stars: Well, it suddenly stopped working after about two months. I did not drop it and have been careful not to overwind it. They do have a lifetime warranty, but I had to send it to a service center and now have waited over a month with no response. If I have to wait another month, I'll probably lower it to three stars for service issues. March 2011: Well I finally got it back. The paperwork simply said "replaced movement". Since they do warranty the watch for life and did indeed fix it eventually, I will keep it at four stars.
