The watch exceeded all my expectations. I bought it to wear to a wedding and I think I got more compliments on it that the bride did on her dress (maybe not that many, but plenty). I wouldn't hesitate buying it again.
The only thing that irked me a little was it wasn't clear that the watch came with a chain. It does, so don't make the same mistake I did and purchase an additional one.

This is beautiful! We've had it for 2 years now, and it's still working great. The price is wonderful for it as well. This is the nicest one I have found in this price category. :)

Beautiful Pocket Watch! Very smooth movement and quiet. Just the right weight; light enough for comfort, heavy enough to know the quality! I am very pleased with the purchase.

This pocket watch made a great gift. It looks much more expensive than the price. The exposure of the movement adds to its appeal - it is truly a lovely watch. Solid construction and attractive looking, this is a nice timepiece for those that enjoy beautiful mechanical things. It was a great gift for my proudly "analog" father.

This watch is beautiful and was exactly what I thought it would be! I'm sure my boyfriend will love it! I am soooooo happy that the piece arrived early as well. This was a good experience and I will be buying from amazon again.

Very pleased with quality of watch fit and finnish are perfect and it is keeping very good time. The box is not the same as pictured but is very nice It seems to be very nice for the price and I would reccomend it.

I gave this to my boyfriend at our engagement party and he loved it, his family gave him lots of compliments on it... one of his brothers actually said something about borrowing it for a party. =)
I got his inicials engraved on it and i think it was the perfect gift to remember this special ocasion and maybe in the future he can give it to our children and it would have lots of emotional value.

I bought this watch as part of my Victorian outfit, and it fits perfectly. It runs very well, isn't too loud or too soft, and the mechanism hasn't failed after a year of operation. The visible mechanism only adds to the beauty of this watch. The plating hasn't rusted or flaked, so I'm overall very pleased with this watch.

The only thing is, don't be fooled: this watch, apparently, has nothing to do with France. As far as I've been able to tell, the name of the company is "Charles-Hubert, Paris", and it is not located in France! The company is actually Unitron Enterprise doing business as Charles-Hubert, Paris, and is run out of El Monte, California. Google "charles hubert unitron" and see for yourself. I almost died laughing when I found out.

But that being said, it's still a damn good watch, and I highly recommend it.

Don't forget to get a watch chain!
