Its a pocket watch. It keeps time decent. If you keep it wound its off by less than a minute in a week. I wind mine twice a day usually.

The coating on the chain is starting to wear off after a few months of wearing daily in a warehouse environment. Mainly where it rubs against itself while its hanging. If you are going to wear this everyday you might want to look for a different chain if that bothers you.

I received this item as a gift from my wife. It looks great and time can be read when closed as there is an exterior clock on the cover. I have always really liked Pocket Watches for their classical style and panache. This is a great watch and gift. The only thing I am not too pleased with is that the back of the watch seems to scratch easily.

CONS:
Watch has no weight to it so it appears to be cheaper than expected (I thought it would be heavier)
The cover does not even open up 90 degrees so it becomes hard to see the full face of the watch
Very delicate, not to be taken out unless your extremely careful

PROS:
Watch keeps perfect time as long as you wind it everyday
Elegant look with amazing quality
