This is a very attractive sterling silver cased pocket watch. Mine was well regulated gaining about one minute in a weeks time. This was much better than a very high dollar swiss watch that I purchased at about the same time. A positive aspect for the easily amused is that you can see the mechanism in motion when you open the case. The negative factor is that for people with imperfect vision, is that lack of contrast makes it hard to see the hands against the hour numerals and determine the time at a glance.

These days, its hard to find a sterling wind up pocket watch for under $1000. This is a pretty nice choice, even though about $600 of the $664 is due to the silver case and silver chain cost. The Lifetime Factory warranty can't be beat!YES YOU HAVE TO WIND IT! Every MECHANICAL watch needs to be wound. They do make battery powered (ie quartz) watches for those that don't see the value in a wind up mechanical movement.

u need winding everyday for this pocket watchhowever i just used about half year and it with problem, cant winding.
