Definitely worth seeing...,

This review is from: Charles Reid: Portraits in Watercolor - Contemporary Watercolor Master [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Charles Reid in action. He uses surprisingly little equipment here, just one or two large round brushes for everything and he paints quickly and directly in one continuous sitting. Charles paints a double portrait of his wife & daughter in the video which takes most of the time as the picture is basically painted without interruption. Mr. Reid provides interesting commentary throughout -- such as discussing selecting important lines and area and his unusual use & choice of colour (he is often not trying to capture the "correct" color).
That said, the video seems rather expensive (I borrowed it from the local library) for what is a pretty basic video which is a little dull if you try to take it all in in one sitting. I did enjoy seeing Charles paint though.

This video shows precisely how to go about painting in watercolor. Charles Reid is an expert in his field and makes his directions clear and easy to follow. This is a nice video for an artist to have on hand for instruction or for inspiration!
