Book Description

0951312413 978-0951312414 March 2001
Mackintosh's only known writings on architecture comprise six lecture scripts and a diary, reproduced in full. They illuminate the roots of his genius in unexpected ways and give insight into both his respect for tradition and his passionate commitment to creative independence. Essays by established experts in the field introduce the texts, and illustrations include many previously unpublished or inaccessible Mackintosh drawings.
