I have been brought up in a Christian home, and I was born again when I was 5. I have owned as a personal Bible only two others for any length of time. My first was a gold colored covered hard back edition Good News Bible. I used that until it literally pretty much disintegrated! :) My next Bible which I was given my Senior year of High School was an NIV version hard back. Then a couple of weeks after my birthday this year, my dad and I accidentally left it in the back of his truck...the same day we had an unexpected rain storm. So, as a late birthday gift, I was told to pick out an edition I wanted, and they would call it a late birthday present.

Well, I have a good Christian friend who has gotten me watching and listening to Charles Stanley's broadcasts. His "life principles" is a very valuable tool when searching the Word for just the right topical information when you need it. So, I recalled an ad for the Bible after a Sunday morning service I watched before heading to church. Then much to my delight, I was able to locate a copy at Amazon with a soft leather cover.

I am very, very pleased with this Bible, and I highly recommend it to anyone. A life-long Christian may find new perspectives while a "young" to the faith believer may find the answers to some very disquieting questions. A non-believer may find some explanations for why Christians do some of the things we do, by using the included Life Principles throughout the text.

I have wanted to purchase this Bible for a while and am more than pleased at the resources within the Bible. It not only is easy to read, but adds much more to Bible study. I love reading the life principles that Charles Stanley teaches.

I love the look and feel of this Bible. That said, it's not a study Bible. It lacks some of the more in-depth coverage that study Bibles offer. If you know that going in, you won't be disappointed.

Great quality. We had been looking for a C. Stanley Study Bible and was amazed to find the bonded leather here for such a great price.

This is the best Bible I have ever had. It is easy to read, easy to understand and makes me want to read for hours. The only thing I would change is not having the words of Christ in read. It is a very easy to handle Bible with very soft leather covers.

The NASB is one of the closest to the Greek. I ordered Chas Stanley's NASB & wasn't aware of his page by page commentary, as excellant as it is. I was looking for more space on each page without commentary, no matter how excellent it was, I needed more space. I still recomment his NASB but I needed more room for notes and scriptural reference.
