This is a Bible you will love to study. Dr. Stanley's notes, highlights, and articles allow me to study with great insight and understanding. This particular Bible is the NASB version that Dr. Stanley quotes in his messages. I always have it open while listening to Dr. Stanley's sermons or the Daily Radio Program at [...]. This Bible would make a life changing gift to a new believer.

I recently purchased this indexed Bible as a gift. The cover is black genuine leather with a Smyth sewn binding. The leather is somewhat thin, yet finely grained, which seems to be the norm today (I have two other bibles with the same leather grain and thickness). However, I also have a 30 dollar Korean made NKJV bible with very lovely coarse grained leather. That Bible is currently my finest.

The indexing of the life principles Bible is very nicely done with 4 books to each index. The overall size of the book is nice too. Not too big, not too thick (but with all the commentaries it is not thin either). The main body font is very readable (probably 10-11 point). It is nearly a large font (but not giant by any stretch of the imagination). The commentaries employ nice bluish toned graphics with fonts that are a bit smaller, yet still nice and readable.

My only complaint is the paper, which is excessively thin (bordering on delicate), and exhibits an unacceptable level of bleedthrough. This Bible is made in USA. This would be a 5 star Bible if not for the paper. In contrast, the Korean made Bibles tend to use thin, but very solidly constructed bleedthrough resistant paper.

I don't want to put it down. It is easy to read and Dr. Stanley's teachings make it that much easier.

This is the third or fourth bible that I own, but I have found it to be the most informative, educational book. Dr. Stanley if a fine theologian and brings alive the teachings of the Bible -- both old and new testaments. It is also excellent for new believers. I have given it as a gift to many new Christians, and they all agree with me. The leather version makes a fine gift.

This is the best bible I have ever had for study, I enjoy the cross reference for each principle as well as all the extra notes. Dr. Stanley is in my opinion one of the best preachers of our time. He takes everything from the Word Of God and makes it relative. Applying these principles to my life has already making a big difference. I would recommend this Bible to anyone who wants a deeper relationship with God.

Dr. Stanley is a saint! His material will literally speak to you off the pages! This bible is so informative; if you're looking for relationship with God and want an in-depth look this is for you! My life will not be the same as the book allows me to come closer to God! Thank you Dr. Stanley!

I've had many bibles, but I believe that this one is by far the best one I've purchased. Very easy to read. Lots of Bible study references and life principles studies for faith foundations that will be to the use of edifying for the purchaser. Comes across very clear and concise. An excellent Bible.

I love Doctor Stanley. He is well educated in Theology and Divinity. (look up is bio). This bible is an easy to understand translation with excellent commentaries from Pastor Stanley. I have a couple of translations and this is one of my favorites

I wish I had heeded Apex's review of the The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible concerning the very thin tissue paper and the dark black ink bleedthrough. Makes the print look very blurry. I know I would enjoy the Bible, but reading it with my "aging" eyesight would be a chore instead of a pleasing experience. I'm looking for a paperback version or one with pages like most hardback books. Dr Stanley is my favorite pastor, and I would recommend anything he writes.

I love Charles Stanley and thought this Bible would be a great teaching tool. I found that it was hard to find the actual bible verses due to all the other stuff in there. I didn't care for the format of the different subjects. I didn't spend much time with it--it just was too cluttered for me and I haven't gone back to it. After trying a few times, I just couldn't get much out of it. It just seemed to hard to follow. A disappointment.
