They are very soft and easy to clean up.

Also... I don't see this fitting all the way to potty training, it doesn't have rise adjustments, only elastic adjustments to make the leg openings fit better.

Honestly, I really really wanted to like this diaper. The whole idea seems great, and on paper it has some nice tweaks from other competing brands. Somehow, it just doesn't add up. I've had this diaper for about a month now, so I think I can safely review it..

I have several Bum Genius 3.0 and 4.0 diapers, one Fuzzi Bunz diaper (one size) and one Charlie Banana (one size) diaper in the Royal Blue color. My baby is 4 months, and is generally in the 90th percentile for weight/height.

PROS:
- the color is nice
- the adjustable elastic is easier to adjust than the Fuzzi Bunz
- the wide back elastic seems like it would be more comfortable for baby
- has the crossover snap (more on that later...)
- comes with 2 inserts, a smaller one and a larger one
- has disposable inserts (which are sold separately, and I haven't used them)
- inner lining is soft

CONS:
- the front flap...It's great in theory, there isn't much of a chance of accidentally touching poop if the insert comes out the front, but I find it difficult to shake out the insert without touching the usually pee soaked inner part. If you use a different way of separating the insert from the shell, I don't think this would be an issue.

- the inserts, which are microfiber like the Bum Genius and Fuzzi Bunz, are a faint yellow shade. I have no idea why, but they came that way. I don't think it effects performance, but it is unexpected.

- the inserts also take longer to dry than the Bum Genius and Fuzzi Bunz (I hang them up to dry), yet they are smaller than either of the other brands' inserts.

We have a cloth diaper stash of mostly one-size pocket diapers. I'm going to say that Charlie Banana is in my top three, if not my favorite thus far. We own 6 Charlie Banana OS. Here are a few features I like about CB:

-the waistband elastic is wider in the back than most pocket diapers. It doesn't leave a red mark on my son's back
-the fleece lining is VERY soft and stays that way, even when line dried.
- I like that the pocket is 'finished' with a flap to hold the insert in. Everything lays flat, including the insert. (I hate when inserts bunch up in the middle!...these do not!) The flap also covers the adjustable elastic and button so it doesn't touch baby's skin.
- the cross-over snap on the front is great. I like that this diaper will not only adjust to fit my toddler, but that I can use that cross-over snap for our next baby, while they are teeny. I've also used this snap feature to roll the diaper up and snap it closed, so that it's compact in the wet bag during travel.
-the CB colors and prints are the best I've seen. Royal blue is my favorite. The PUL is high quality, and I trust that this diaper won't leak.
-these fit very trimly. I usually pick these when we're going out, so that his clothes fit nicer over the diaper, and I trust that they'll remain leak free.

Here are a few things I would adjust on this diaper:
-the inserts...they work fine, but they're smaller (slightly shorter and narrower) than most microfiber inserts. They're also an off-white color...not a huge deal, but not the lovely bright white aesthetic of other brands. The pocket is large enough to support a larger insert, so I usually grab a different brand insert to stuff at night/naptime.
-the elastic over time, becomes more difficult to adjust...

I have different brands of pocket diapers, including FuzziBunz, Swaddlebees, many WAHM, etc.. and this one is my absolute favorite pocket diaper. He was able to fit it when we purchased them at 1 month old, and it keeps in that runny breastfed newborn poop! It sizes up pretty nicely too, so I know it will last for a long time. Here are some things I like about it:

-Colors are beautiful and feel on the outside is very smooth and soft
-Inside lining is the softest I've felt, and the elastic on the back is lined with it so my baby is super comfy (almost feels padded) and never gets lines on his back like FuzziBunz can give.
-Inserts are a touch thicker (and nicer imo) than Fuzzibunz and more narrow between the legs. The Fuzzibunz seem flat and wide and these seem more puffy and trim... which also gives a cuter look while on.
-Very trim look. He can wear all his normal clothing over this diaper and it doesn't look more bulky than disposable.
-I like the pocket in the front so I don't have to touch the area by the poop. I saw another review mention having to touch the insert, but there is a tag to pull on the insert under the little flap so you don't have to actually touch the wet insert. You have to put the insert in correctly though so the tag is in the right place.
-The snap sizing always seems to line up for us well. It doesn't with the FuzziBunz, but these it does nicely. Perhaps this is just a good fit for my son personally, but he's 99th for weight and 95th for height.. so proportional.
-The OS truly is OS. It fit my 1 month old and would also fit a bigger kid. Best part is that it still wasn't bulky on my 1 month old! Very trim on him as well. They did a nice job designing this.
-Each come with 2 inserts. One small and one med/large.
