4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Variety Show starring Snoopy and Charlie Brown!, March 23, 2007
This was a great video, although a little choppy in areas. Two identical intro pieces is too repetitive, corrected ,however, by fast forward button. Linus is having issues with his blankie-good stuff. My little one doesn't leave the room without her "blankie", so she can definately relate to the "Security Blanket" episodes. Very cute, compact, and great to see my children enjoying the Peanuts characters that my husband and I grew up with. I hope yours will too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Show!!, April 21, 2003
By "jem-aja" (Kingston, Georgia United States) - See all my reviews
I just love the Charlie Brown And Snoopy Show. I have been a Peanuts fan ever since I was a little girl. I still watch the Peanuts and I am 20 years old!! I never get tired of the Peanuts gang. I can watch some episodes over and over.

A good Peanuts episode to watch over and over is Happy New Year, Charlie Brown. I have seen it tons of times. The Peanuts gang is one of the **BEST** shows ever made.

Another good episode to watch over and over is It's Christmas Time Again, Charlie Brown. I have seen that episode over forty times.

The whole gang is funny. My favorite character is Lucy. She is so crabby that she is funny. I strongly suggest watching this show. This is a great children's show.

2.0 out of 5 stars What's the point?, February 22, 2003
I did find The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show entertaining when I was a child. But the problem, I've now realized, is that none of the cartoons are original. They're all taken from Peanuts comics from the early `60s to early `70s. And a lot of the cartoons are even done a second time with different titles (see any cartoon where Sally is sitting in class). And some of the repeated cartoons are RE-repeated in other versions of this show, especially in the disguisedly titled It's An Adventure, Charlie Brown.

Another thing that takes the fun out of this show is that we can't tell what Snoopy is thinking. His lines are either spoken through other characters, or they're just skipped altogether. And any avid Peanuts reader knows that Snoopy "says" the funniest things. Maybe United Feature Syndicate should have pushed for someone to voice Snoopy's thoughts. They had no trouble doing it for Garfield, and they're from the same company-well, they were back then.

So, although this cartoon show brought the characters to life, your best bet is to pick up the Peanuts books instead.
