A Christmas Alternative to Kenny G (Thank Heavens),
By John McNeely (Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Charlie Byrd Christmas Album (Audio CD)
If you're looking for the bossa nova Charlie Byrd or the jazz artistry you're used too, this album might disappoint you a little. But if you want some really beautiful Christmas music played by a real artist, you'll love it. It is a quiet peaceful group of familiar tunes played with finesse and style. Buy it for next year - you won't be sorry.

A Fresh Sound to Christmas,
By A Customer
This review is from: Charlie Byrd Christmas Album (Audio CD)
This album exhibits the guitar artistry for which the late Charlie Byrd was known and loved. The album includes traditional seasonal music. It is a wonderful balance to another Christmas album by Byrd on the Columbia label released during the early 60s that showcases religious music of Christmas.

Charlie Byrd,

This review is from: Charlie Byrd Christmas Album (Audio CD)
This album has been a family favorite for many years. It is quite possibly one of the greatest instrumental Christmas albums. It's just nice to hear the music and not have to hear one of the new flash-in-the-pan singers trying to make the song their own. Charlie Byrd plays all the Christmas favorites the way they were supposed to be heard...beautifully.
