Also, the visionary developer James Rouse died yesterday at the age of 81. He was responsible for such projects as Faneuil Hall in Boston and South Street Seaport in New York and used profits from these to build innovative housing for the poor. Paul Goldberger and Kurt Anderson, both of The New York Times, reflect on Rouse's life.
