Gould was a polymath of sorts who beside his work as evolutionary biologist had divergent interests, everything from Astronomy to Baseball. He comes to talk with Charlie Rose about the approaching millenium, and the anthology he has published about it. He is as always a fluent, pleasant and clear- thinking. However like many other people he perhaps exaggerated the psychological and social effect the magic date would have.
