5.0 out of 5 stars The oldest heavyweight champ The George Foreman segment, December 6, 2007
It is many years since I took any real interest in Boxing. Yet I knew of Foreman and wanted to understand exactly what his career had been all about. He appears after having just defeated by decision a German challenger for his heavyweight crown. At forty- five he is the oldest heavyweight champion that has ever been. He talks to Rose about a Tyson fight with the hope that it will bring him a huge payday. He has nine children . He is also a believing born- again Christian. He says a good word about his wife who he credits with making his good life possible. He tells about his tough street- fighting life .He also tells about the epic title battle in which he lost to Mohammed Ali. He seems a person quite content with himself. As I understand it he was considered a very strong and tough fighter . And his message to the audience is one of the most important I believe that can be given . He says 'Never give up' And the only man to have regained the heavyweight title twenty years after he first relinquished it should know what he is talking about.
