4.0 out of 5 stars Laughing with Joan, December 29, 2007
Charlie Rose cares for both his audience and his guests. He almost always tries to somehow make the latter be and feel alright. So his abundant laughter at this interview with Joan Rivers. Perhaps he finds her to be the kind of comedian who the very sight and presence of is cause for gaffing.
With all due respect to Joan, I have always found her particular form of self- presentation a bit 'low'. Despite her commendable courage in making career comebacks , and her occasional funniness I have found her humor to be more often 'off the mark'.
In any case Charlie Rose seems to like her a lot and they spend this segment having a good time. My suspicion however , if my case is evidence, that the viewer will be slightly less amused.
