3.0 out of 5 stars The Hanan Ashrawi segment December 16, 2007
This interview is a quite unusual one for Charlie Rose as it goes with a great deal of awkwardness, and contradiction. Ashrawi is not simply a propagandist she is also a professional liar. Rose should have caught some of the most obvious ones, such as her speaking about there being a 'Palestinian state in 1947'. A second major lie is that the Palestinians as she was speaking had stopped all violence against Israelis. This she said in the midst of a series of terrorist attacks against Israel.
Ashrawi claims to be a person of peace. But she sounds more like a cheap propagandist trying to win points for her side. Fair enough but outright lies should be caught, and contradicted.
One more point. She herself is a Palestinian Christian but she has a person of privilege not spoken up for the Christians who have been persecuted throughout Palestinian controlled areas by the Muslims.
