4.0 out of 5 stars The Sachs segment, April 29, 2008
This review is from: Charlie Rose - Jeffrey Sachs / Richard Price (April 16, 2008) (DVD)
One of the world's foremost experts on the Economics of Poverty Jeffrey Sachs speaks with Charlie Rose about ways of alleviating the situation of the world's poor. He is tremendously knowledgeable , and the conversation is an informative and rich one. Sachs argues far more could be done than is being done now, to deal with global-warming, and global- health and economy issues. I know that there is another line of thinking which does not connect population issues and poverty , global- warming and poverty the way he does. But he makes his case in a strong way. His knowledge of the situation in many different parts of the world , and his positive sense that something can be done and should be done to improve things make a strong impression.
