5.0 out of 5 stars A first- rate political discussion, July 15, 2008
This review is from: Charlie Rose - Michelle Rhee / Chuck Todd and Mark Halperin (July 14, 2008) (DVD)
This discussion speaks to the presidential race as of July 14, 2008. Obama is in the lead, and may win a blow- out election. All agree he's got the money, and above all the superior campaign organization and focus. It is his election to blow. Halpern quotes Woody Hayes on why he prefers running to passing. In running one thing can go wrong, in passing two out of three things can happen are bad. This is in regard to Obama's overseas visit to Iraq and Afghanistan. Nonetheless Halpern believes he will succeed on it. Todd gives a good analysis on the Vice- Presidential candidates. Both seem to think that Romney is going to be Cain's selection, as he helps him the most. No one mentioned Clinton, and this on the premise that Obama will choose someone he is really comfortable with. Apparently the Democrats are expecting to win everything big, and the Republicans simply trying to limit the damage in House and Senate races.
This discussion was professional and highly informative. It will date but for the time of its happening it was very good indeed.
