I have never been a fan of the 'Rolling Stones' and cannot think of one of their songs even the legendary 'Satisfaction' which I thoroughly enjoyed. Nonetheless I took interest in hearing what a musician so fabled as Jagger would have to say. Charlie Rose talks to him in Los Angeles about his film- career and also about the 'Rolling Stones' and his music. Charlie Rose is to my mind just a bit too amused at most of Jagger's remarks which are alright but not worthy of so much laughter and amusement. But as always Rose does the job in engaging in a civilized respectful conversation with his interviewee. Jagger seems a quite intelligent, and smart person, who understands the business and world he is in. He understands the film- career is a side, tells how he enjoys being on stage. Jagger tells about starting and not writing a celebrity- memoir and about his own reading habits. He says the one thing he would like to do is write a really good travel book. My guess is he does not talk enough about the music in this interview to satisfy his fans. He also does not ask questions about Jagger's much - gossiped about personal life. Nor does he ask a question about the one group which all involved in the music of that time would consider far far above the 'Rolling Stones' i.e. The Beatles.
