5.0 out of 5 stars The wisdom of the Director, December 27, 2007
This review is from: Charlie Rose with Mike Nichols (April 28, 1998) (DVD)
Charlie Rose talks to Mike Nichols about his career as comedian with Elaine May, and as actor and director. Nichols is considered one of the outstanding directors both of stage and film. They speak about Nichols' films, 'The Graduate' 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?',and others. They speak about Nichols early success and a middle period in which he apparently did not do that great. Nichols is somewhat laid back, serious, with a knowing kind of expression, a person who gives a feeling he understands more than what he is saying. Rose is voluble and gracious and as usual tries to bring out the best in his guest and put him in the best possible light.
