5.0 out of 5 stars The Bernard Henri- Levy Umberto Eco segment, May 12, 2008
This review is from: Charlie Rose - Susan C. Schwab / Bernard-Henri Levy & Umberto Eco. (May 9, 2008) (DVD)
A passionate and persuasive Bernard Henri- Levy argues for doing everything possible to help the people of Darfur He says that there is a genocide going on there in which the dead are not even being counted. He calls for a boycott of the Olympics , as China is the main arms supplier of the Sudanese oppressors. Umberto Eco does not have the passion but joins in deploring the Darfur genocide. Bernard Henri- Levy also strongly criticizes President Carter for giving legitimacy to 'Hamas' Henri-Levy makes a clear and correct distinction between terrorist fascist Hamas attacking Israeli civilians, and democratic Israel's actions in defense.
A very good segment, primarily because of Henri- Levy's passion in caring for the people of Darfur.
