5.0 out of 5 stars The William F. Buckley segment, February 28, 2008
This review is from: Charlie Rose - William F. Buckley, Jr. / Naomi Klein (December 28, 2007) (DVD)
Bill Buckley speaks with Charlie Rose about the failings of the Bush Administration, the mistake which was made in going into Iraq, the state of the Republican party, the war against Terror, the need for Western Civilization to defend itself as Christian civilization, his new novel called 'The Rake', his new non-fiction work "Cancel your own damned subscription" , his expectation that Hilary Clinton will be the next President of the United States, his preference for writing fiction, his pride in what he considers his greatest achievement, 'The National Review' which he considers a continual source of 'enlightentment' and which has 'marvelous writers with great skills. Charlie Rose concludes this interview which he does not know at the time will be his last with Bill Buckley by saying graciously " One of the great joys of this program is my having gotten to meet William F. Buckley through it. Thank you my friend."
