5.0 out of 5 stars The Perlman Williams segment, June 23, 2008
This review is from: Charlie Rose with Robert Kagan & William Kristol; Richard Haass & Fareed Zakaria; John Leguizamo; Itzhak Perlman & John Williams (August 8, 1997) (DVD)
Charlie Rose talks to composer- conductor John Williams and violinist Yitzhak Perlman about a CD they have made together- and a concert they are about to give. There are clips of film- music which have been selected for the CD. Perlman is one of the world's great violinists and his rendering of the music Williams wrote for 'Schindler's List' is powerfully moving. Williams and Perlman speak of their collaboration in mutual complimentary terms. An intelligent conversation conducted by Charlie Rose who establishes wonderful rapport with his guests.
