Book Description

Charlie's life in Ohio is ordinary and consistent. When her dad loses his job, fighting becomes an every day event. Moving in with her sister only makes matters worse. Her life is turned upside down.

In a desperate attempt to find a safe haven, she ends up on the streets of Chicago. She's introduced to a different kind of world. A place where crime lords and women of the night come out to play. Charlie finds herself at the mercy of Rico DeLusa, a local crime king.

When she begins having feelings for one of Rico's employees, Angel Blackwell, she wonders if she's out of her element. Is she being drawn into their world, instead of being a light in a dark place? Blackmail, prostitution and drugs were never a part of her life, but they are now.

Charlie finds herself in the middle of a fight between good and evil. She needs the strength to overcome, the wisdom to make the right choices, and the insight to follow what is right Instead of listening to her heart

Editorial Reviews

Review

Charlie's Angel Editorial Review coming.

From the Author

I just loved writing this book.  It started out as contest to write 50,000 words in a month.  It went so well that I decided to finish it and get it out there.  It was my first Novel.  Charlie & Angel were such great characters that I decided to build a series around them and their families.  They had so much going on in their lives that there is no way I could tell it all in one story.  I hope that you love this series as I do.  Each book so far as finished and could be a stand alone novel, but there is so much more to learn about these characters so hang on and enjoy the read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Characters I'd like to meet! August 17, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
This author definitely has a heart for spreading the Word, and all the right words to do so. Characters who seem headed for destruction, find salvation instead. She must be well acquainted with God's forgiveness and love because it overflows from every page.

5.0 out of 5 stars A compelling read! September 3, 2010
Format:Paperback
I was given this novel to read by a family member while vacationing. Once I got started, the rest of the family didn't see me until I finished. The plot drew me in like that of a James Patterson or John Grisham volume. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants an intriguing story to occupy their mind.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was expecting..... BETTER! January 20, 2014
By Joelle
Format:Kindle Edition
To be honest, I went into this book with a preconceived notion that it would be a corny spin off of the series I watched as a child. I was very glad to be wrong. While I did get a little confused to begin with over the characters and who they were, I think it was because I was trying to figure out where the story would go instead of just letting it take me there..... When I let go of my expectations, I found myself completely immersed in the story, the characters, and the surroundings. This was a great tale of what God can do when you allow Him control. I found myself admiring Charlie for sticking to her principles as much as she could without sacrificing the needs of her family. I also like how she weaved the 2 characters together in a way that wasn't quite what you thought was going to happen. Really a great story AND There is also a sneak peek into book 2 of the series at the end, It has definately left me wanting more!

5.0 out of 5 stars We need more! June 19, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I honestly wish that there were more books like these out there! I don't read from the "Romance" genre - because, let's face it, they are "R" rated - and I don't want to subject myself to that. But this book was romantic in a pure and Christian way, and I enjoyed that. Hope you'll write more, Samantha!

5.0 out of 5 stars Different kind of christian story! June 23, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
I started reading this not knowing it was a christian type of story but was pleasantly surprised with how well it was written so it wasn't a "preachy" type of story. Instead you find yourself asking the very same questions the characters did and wanting some answers to them too, as the author put them in some very interesting situations to deal with. I would say this was a middle of the line christian book, not too preachy but not too little of it either. The story itself made for a excellent read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great Story and a great read! July 10, 2012
Format:Paperback
I was very surprised how much I enjoyed this novel. I guess I expected it to be a little boring and I was very pleased that it wasnt. I loved the people and story. I love that during my read I could see what the author was describing I felt like I was there and I felt that way throughout the book.
It kept me interested and even though the book has a picture on the cover I still seen what I thought they looked like in my mind. Sorry Samantha I love the cover but I visialized different looking people in your book.
The best part of that is when I see them in my mind and I see where they are and what the room looks like I know Im into the book. And that its a wonderful book that has my attention.
And thats why we read its an imaginary world we live in. I totally enjoyed this book.
It was a great read and have told many of my friends to check it out.
Great job Samantha Fury. Cant wait to read your next novel.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Compelling Read September 5, 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Samantha Fury's Angel and Charlie are both well developed likable characters, the settings are real and well defined and the supporting characters are interesting and well developed. All in all, it's a good read. I didn't want to stop reading and - that's such a cliche, but it's true - when I got to the end of the book and found the first chapters to the next one, I just kept reading. I recommend this book to anyone who is a Christian and loves adventure and action.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I didn't like the writing style in this book, and found the characters to be poorly developed and the plot unrealistic. I stopped reading at the end of chapter 7.
