Charlie's Angels were wonderful because they were smart, attractive, and active. In Season Two, they play football, hang glide, ride horses, play tennis, sing, play guitar, ice skate, enter a beauty pageant, and so on. The Angels prove that they can hold their own, anywhere, anytime. Farrah Fawcett left Charlie's Angels after Season One. Although she does guest star in the third and fourth season, she does not appear in the second season. She was replaced by Cheryl Ladd.

Here is an episode guide, with a tiny description:

1. Angels in Paradise (1): Charlie has been kidnapped while on vacation in Hawaii.
2. Angels in Paradise (2): The Angels work on rescuing Charlie.
3. Angels on Ice (1): Two ice show stars are kidnapped. Guest stars (gs): Phil Silvers, Jim Backus

10. Angels on the Air: Someone shots at a radio newswoman. The Angels investigate the several people that had reason to hate her.
11. Angel Baby: The Angels help a friend find his fiancée.
12. Angels in the Wings: An actress seeks help from the Angels after someone tries to kill her.
13. Magic Fire: A magician hires the Angels to investigate the fires he is accused of setting.
14. The Sammy Davis Jr. Kidnap Caper: The Angels are hired as bodyguards for Sammy Davis, Jr., after a kidnapping attempt. gs: Sammy Davis Jr., & wife Altovise Davis.
15. Angels on Horseback: A tourist is murdered at a dude ranch.
16. Game, Set, Death: Incidents at a tennis tournament leave 1 star dead and several frightened.
17. Hours of Desperation: Jewel thieves threaten to kill Sabrina if the Angels don't help them find their partner who took the jewels.
18. Diamond in the Rough: A former thief asks the Angels to help steal a famous diamond from a wealthy Arab and return it to a museum.
19. Angels in the Backfield: A women's football team is threatened by motorcyclists.
20. The Sandcastle Murders: Kris's neighbor is the latest victim of a serial murderer.
21. Angel Blues: A folk singer dies from a heroin overdose.
22. Mother Goose is Running For her Life: Someone sabotages a toy company.
23. Little Angels of the Night: A serial killer targeting blond prostitutes sends the Angels "undercover" as hookers.
24. The Jade Trap: Charlie asks the Angels to investigate the murder of a wealthy woman.
25. Angels on the Run: After a man disappears, his wife asks the Angels to help find him.
26. Antique Angels: The theft of a highly radioactive fuel leads the angel to an antique auto show.

I am so grateful that Sony decided to release the second season of Charlie's Angels on DVD! I pray they follow up with the three remaining seasons as well. Season 2 is my favorite season for a number of reasons. First of all, the tone of the series changed with the introduction of Kris Munroe. In Season 1 the episodes were much more adult oriented, but in Season 2 there was a blitz of toys being marketed towards kids and the show became a bit campy. Having a rookie Angel on the payroll soothed this transition, for with Kris came a sense of humor. Having posed for the extreme undercover roles of a toy mannequin ("Mother Goose is Running For His Life"), a clown ("Angels on Ice"), and a nudist ("Angels in Paradise"), Kris was clearly a team player. Cheryl Ladd proved her worth throughout the run of the series by allowing Kris to evolve from the spirited innocent who first bounced into the Townsend offices and into a more world weary mature woman by the end of Season 5. Her major turning point is depicted in "Angel Baby" in which Kris shoots a man for the first time.
In addition to Sabrina & Kelly receiving a new partner, the Angels performed some of their best detective work in several of the episodes, most notably in "Angels in Paradise" in which they go up against two rival Hawaiian mobs, stage a jail break, and rescue a kidnapped Charlie. Bosley also gets much more involved in the cases than he did on Season 1.
The picture and sound quality for this box set are better than that of Season 1, but I am only giving it four stars because Sony has done the unthinkable in editing two of the episodes. Instead of giving fans the series as it originally aired, the first two episodes "Angels in Paradise" and "Angels on Ice" are cut up just as they are in syndication. I was looking forward to this set mainly to have these two episodes as they originally aired. Let's hope that if Sony does release Season 5, they do not cut up the first episode "From Street Models to Hawaiian Angels" which was changed to "Angel in Hiding" for syndication and is missing the most important scene in which Kelly & Kris learn that their suspect Julie Rogers is actually working on the same case as them.
Despite Sony's extreme laziness with this issue of editing the two part episodes, I still highly recommend buying this DVD box set. As far as I'm concerned Charlie's Angels was the greatest prime time drama in the history of television and am thrilled that new generations will get a taste of it via DVD.

OK now that we got our hands on Season 1 and 2, I just want to know is Season 3, 4, or 5 in sight?? I am so tired of waiting. One of my favorite angels Tanya Roberts is in Season 5, so please continue with the season release!

I strongly feel that season 2 of Charlie's Angels was probably the best season of the entire series run. Having to make up for the loss of Farrah they cast Cheryl Ladd and she turned out to be the most successful new Angel. Cheryl Ladd brought a lot of fun to the show and I think did a better job than Farrah. Jaclyn Smith shined as Kelly, though her acting may not have been the best during the first season, it started developing more and more, and she was by far the most beautiful woman on television when Charlie's Angels aired. Kate Jackson does supurb as the unofficial leader of the group, what she lacks in the 'babe factor' she makes up in her great acting skills. David Doyle never fails to impress as the lovable Bosley who always has the girls' backs. This season also brought about great episodes with the premiere "Angels in Paradise", having the most beautiful women on television against a Hawaiian paradise made for a great episode. "Pretty Angels All in a Row", a fun episode that could rival the ever popular season one episode "Angels in Chains". It was a very special treat to see the talents of Cheryl Ladd displayed in "Angels in the Wings", where Cheryl Ladd does a big musical number. It was also a fun treat to see the actual Charlie's Angels dolls that were sold in stores at the time appear in the episode "Mother Goose is Running for His Life". These episodes along with such notable guest as Sammy Davis Jr. make season 2 of Charlie's Angels a classic.

Just read on an Official Charlie's Angels Website that Season Three is being released by Sony on Tues July 4, 2006!!!! FINALLY!!!! Season Three is Important because it was The Last Season for Kate Jackson!

Loved it when Charlie's Angels was released...I bought both seasons 1 and 2 the very first day of release but...I'm growing old and gray waiting and waiting for the rest of the series to be released...come on! Get on the band wagon. One of the most popular series of its time and Sony hasn't released a season since 2004!!!

I want my Angels and PDQ!

Why are we still waiting for seasons 3 through 5??? What's taking them so long? Other shows such as Knight Rider, Three's Company, Dukes of Hazzard, Starsky & Hutch, and Quantum Leap have released more than 2 seasons' worth. Hello? What's up with that?

It has been just over a year since the release of Charlie's Angels, the Complete Second Season on DVD. Many of us are asking when will season 3 come? or Will Season 3 come? I am asking you dyed in the wool fans of Charlie's Angels to join me in letting Sony Pictures Entertainment (formerly Columbia Tristar) know that we want Seasons 3, 4 and 5!! Seasons 1 and 2 were awesome. When will the rest of the series come out. I've been checking forever and am so frustrated that they release all other 70's shows on dvd but where are the Angels? It's great to see I'm not the only one waiting for the rest of the series! When can the rest of the series be anticipated???????

Once upon a time...there was this great show with gorgeous Kate Jackson (who received Emmy nominations/not Grammy's), lovely Jaclyn Smith, and cute Cheryl Ladd, and of course, don't forget sidekick Bosely (David Doyle). Even though Farrah left in the second season, Cheryl Ladd, as her sister, filled the seat. Give her(Cheryl Ladd) credit for being the follow up to that! The new DVD set is excellent! Kate shines without the Farrah phenonmenon and Jaclyn is radiant as ever! The new trio in the second season made the show stronger, and it is evident in this DVD set. Only downside is knowing that Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd did not get along with one another. Knowing this now, I'm constantly watching their interaction between each other as actresses. It's subtle...but who cares, the second season know doubtingly deserved higher ratings then the first season. I would recommend this DVD for any TV enthusiasist. I can not wait, and hopefully, the third season, and (yes) fourth season with chic Shelley Hack (I actually liked her character~they should have kept her), and the street-wise Tonya Roberts will be released soon on DVD too.
